Van der Valk’s One completes sea trials

Available to purchase, the 34m aluminium tri-deck features an exterior by Guido de Groot and a calming interior by Carla Guilhem.

Van der Valk has announced that the 34.1m  – which is for sale – has successfully completed its sea trials, some of which took place in the North Sea along with the 35m  due to debut at this year’s Cannes Yachting Festival.

The all-aluminium  has a full-displacement hull, twin 750hp Volvo Penta D16 engines, a 31,000-litre fuel capacity, cruises at 13 knots and has a top speed of 14.4 knots. Van der Valk stated that  represents “an exceedingly rare opportunity to jump the queue and take swift delivery of a Dutch masterpiece”.

Like ,  has been adapted from the naval platform developed by Diana Yacht Design and Ginton Naval Architects for the 34m .  has been customised from the waterline up, with Guido de Groot working on the exterior design, creating a unique profile highlighted by forward-pointing straight lines and aft fashion plates rising to the hardtop in a continuous line.

The four-level tri-deck has a 7.8m beam and features a fold-out aft platform that creates a waterside relaxation area, while a large lazarette offers the potential to house an extensive range of water toys and gym equipment.

Outdoor social areas include and a foredeck with seating and sunbathing areas, while the sundeck has sunbeds aft, a covered dining area, bar and outdoor galley, plus a forward jacuzzi flanked by sunbeds. 

Enormous attention has been paid to storage, with all spaces under sunbeds and sofas utilised.

Large expanses of glass and cutaway bulwarks on the main deck reinforce an inside-outside feel, and the 295GT yacht has a large volume for her compact size, allowing for large groups of people to be hosted and entertained.

 features a stunning interior by Carla Guilhem Design, who has created a contemporary style based on a white and pale cream base palette with pops of colour and dark wood contrasts.

The main saloon includes large floor-to-ceiling windows and soft, rounded furniture for both the lounge and dining area. Forward on the main deck is a full-beam master suite with a large walk-in wardrobe.

The bridge deck includes covered alfresco dining aft, a skylounge that benefits from extra width created by an asymmetrical design, and the wheelhouse overlooking the foredeck.

The lower deck includes four guest cabins, comprising two VIPs and two twin guest cabins, as well as a crew area forward with a mess, three cabins and a large-capacity laundry station. A walk-through from the laundry into the guest corridor is facilitated by a watertight bulkhead door fitted for damage stability.
